An Alumna of the prestigious Swiss Hotel Association Hotel Management School, “Les Roches” Bluche Switzerland, Kate has had a career spanning over 25 years in the hospitality industry. Her love for the environment and sustainable businesses is unparalleled. It is the desire to effect change in Malindi town that led to the formation of the Progress Welfare Association of Malindi (PWAM). As the chairperson, and founding member of PWAM and member of the board for the Kenya Association of Women in Tourism (KAWT), Kate has committed to being the change she wants to see in her community.
Sabina Vivaldi

Sabina moved to Malindi 1999 for work and she fell in love with the town. She has a Degree in economics with specialization in hotel management and has worked in hospitality at national and international since then. Sabina is passionate about improving services for those who live and visit Malindi. "I would like the planet to be an immense garden and for humans to respect it as animals do," she says.

Philip A. Chai HSC

Philip is the CEO of Be Wise Ltd, a hospitality industry consultancy firm. A globally reknown hotelier, Philip has over 50 years experience in the hotel management business. He has been passionate about the management of Malindi's tourism industry and improving the environment for it.
Mr Shabbir Kasamjee

Mr. Kassamjee is a leading businessman and philanthropist and a Dawoodi Bohra leader in Malindi.
Effue Opiyo
Secretary
Effue is a leather specialist by training currently dealing in hand stitched executive leather products.
She is also the President of the Rotaract Club of Malindi, a Rotary International Partner and passionate environmental conservationist. Her other interests are real estate management and hospitality in general where she engages herself as a marketing consultant.
